Hourly Rate for Nannies

The cost of a nanny at home depends on your requirements: how many days per week, the number of hours per day, the nanny’s profile and the level of flexibility required.

Guideline for flexible or temporary childcare:

Hourly rate: Ranging from €35 to €55 per hour for temporary or corporate requests

These rates also depend on the exact nature of the request. This will be determined at the start of the process, and the precise rates will be communicated in the quotation.

Guideline for permanent childcare up to 3 days per week:

The cost depends on the nanny’s experience, the number of days, the duties involved and the level of flexibility required.

For many requests involving childcare for up to 3 days per week, approximately 7 hours per day, the expected candidate hourly rate is currently around:

€20 per hour

This is an indicative hourly rate for the nanny. The final rate will be discussed in advance and may be higher or lower depending on the candidate’s profile and the duties involved.
Any travel expenses reimbursement will be discussed in advance.

When a nanny is directly employed by a private family, the applicable legal obligations and employment conditions are important. We will inform you about these during the recruitment and selection process. The regulations can also be found on this page about the Domestic Services Scheme.

Guideline for permanent childcare from 4 days per week:

Monthly salary:
Indicative range: €2,500 to €3,500 per month for a full-time nanny, 4 or 5 days per week
The monthly or hourly rate depends on the candidate’s profile and is always agreed upon in consultation.

Recruitment fee:

For the placement of a permanent, long-term nanny, we charge a one-time recruitment fee starting from €1,350 incl. VAT. The final fee depends on the number of days, the desired level of flexibility and your specific requirements.
We work on the basis of a placement for approximately one year. If it turns out not to be a match within 1 month, we will continue searching for you.

In addition to permanent nanny placements, we also offer short-term childcare, temporary nannies, travel nannies and other specialised nanny services.

For example:

• nannies for holidays and travel
• travel nannies for domestic and international travel
• temporary childcare
• nannies for weekends or specific events
• holiday childcare
• last-minute or emergency requests
• evening and overnight childcare
• nannies for international families
• live-in nannies
• nannies for several weeks or months
• specific or specialised childcare requests

Please note: we do not arrange Au Pairs in the Netherlands.

For these requests, we always provide a personalised, tailored proposal. Rates depend on factors including the duration of the assignment, location, travel requirements, working hours, desired level of flexibility, the nanny’s profile and the level of support required.

30-Day Replacement Guarantee

Finding a good match is important. Finding a lasting match is even more important.
That is why, for permanent placements and subject to our terms and conditions, we offer a 30-day replacement guarantee.
If the cooperation ends within this period due to a demonstrable mismatch with the candidate, we will search for a replacement candidate.

Would you like to make use of the Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag)?
If the situation and candidate are suitable, we can offer an additional process in which the childcare is arranged through a registered childminding agency (gastouderbureau).

A fee of
€750 excl. VAT
applies to this additional service.

We will assess in advance whether the desired childcare arrangement is suitable for this option.
